Chant Circle with Radharani

A Chant Circle with Radharani is a space for sharing the power and beauty of singing as a tool for collective healing and interpretive, universal prayer. With an altar in the central, we practice the meditation of chant with sacred songs, mantras, and divine names.

Less of a performance than a practice, Radharani guides the space with guitar and harmonium, beautiful stories, and a sweet, lulling voice that encourages all to relish the joy of collective sound.

Angelic Sound Bath

Lay down while Radharani guides you into a deep state of waking dream. Simply allow the sound of angelic overtones and gentle lullabies to soften your edges and bring healing to the heart as you remember the eternal peace that holds you.

Breathwork with Live Sound

Radharani pairs lulling, ethereal music with the powerful practice of breathwork. This gentle, reclining practice is simple but profound. It allows us to find clarity, healing, and emotional release.

Just using the breath, we can find great clarity, and a lasting impression of joy, openness, and interconnection.

Radharani is a certified breathwork practitioner and has many years of experience facilitating ritual, meditation, and trance-work.

Introduction to Yogic Meditation and Chanting

In this workshop, we will learn about meditation techniques from Indian cultures, including observation, active visualization, mantra repetition, and chanting. We will cover the basic theory, and have a chance to practice the techniques to explore which practices most resonate with us.

Introduction to Indian Mysticism

What is divine love? • Who is God / Goddess / Creator? • Why are we here?

In this intimate circle of learning, we will go deeply into Yoga as a philosophical system for Self Realization.

Through learning, discussion, and meditation practice, we will get an understanding of  yoga as a spiritual path. We will cover the teachings of Indian Mystical paths such as Gaudiya Vaishnavism and Kashmiri Shaivist tantra, through philosophical teachings and accessible stories, with the aim of opening our hearts to a more connected, easeful, and purposeful life.

Full Day or Weekend Workshops

Introduction to Indian Mysticism

Go deeper into the path of yoga with an immersion in mystical practice and learning.

In this intimate circle, we will deepen our understanding of yoga as a comprehensive path for Self Realization. We will couple philosophical study with guided practice of postures, breathwork, and chanting, and exploration of meditation techniques including observation, visualization, mantra, and sacred chant.

We will cover the teachings of Indian Mystical paths such as Gaudiya Vaishnavism (devotion) and Kashmiri Shaivist tantra, giving a context to the culture and wisdom of India through beautiful concepts and heart-warming stories.

This weekend of practice and study will help us open our hearts to a more connected, easeful, and purposeful life.

Topics we may explore include:

  • Understanding the Cosmic Benefactor

  • Sacred Intimacy

  • The Divine Self

  • Surrender and Faith

  • Reading Reality

Harmonium and Voice Workshop

Spend the (weekend/day) learning harmonium as an instrument for self-accompaniment in chanting practice. We will cover how to play some of your favorite chants from artists like Krishna Das and Snatam Kaur. Everyone will come away with the ability to play kirtan on the harmonium!

We will also workshop our voices, and play with vocal exercises to awaken to the joy of singing, no matter whether we've sung our whole lives or if we lack confidence. We will find an appreciation for our innate instrument, as it shows up in the moment, unique and precious. Through light-hearted play, we will gain the confidence to delight in singing both for ourselves and for sharing music with others. All voices are welcome and a gift!

***It is wonderful to culminate this workshop with an evening chant circle that is open to the whole community.
